Nelson Mail Article: "I was over renting..."

The Nelson Mail featured a profile and interview of myself and my choice to live in my car as a front page article in the local Nelson Mail Newspaper, and the same article featured with a video interview can be seen online:

Moving into his car has enabled Warwick Stubbs to live a life he has long dreamed of.

As a long-term renter, the author and poet had grown weary of moving from flat to flat and never feeling settled, so when he spotted a traveller living in his car in the Nelson Tasman town of Motueka one day something just clicked.

“My current house wasn’t working out and I just made that decision,” he said. “I was 41, 42 and just over renting. I wanted some kind of freedom and personal space.”
